Looking for that perfect gift for the yogi in your life? Whether your special someone is a hardcore yoga enthusiast or a newbie these gifts are sure to bring them joy.
Books. I have learned so much of what I know of yoga from books. Alignment books, yogic lifestyle books, veggie/vegan cookbooks, etc... What aspect of yoga (or simply mindful living) are they passionate about? Chances are there are at least ten awesome books about it.
Faves: Bringing Yoga to Life: The Everyday Practice of Enlightened Living by Donna Farhi, Light on Life : The Yoga Journey to Wholeness, Inner Peace, and Ultimate Freedom by B.K.S. Iyengar, Veganomicon: The Ultimate Vegan Cookbook, Yoga Anatomy by Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews.
Yoga accessories. Yoga mats, straps, blocks, blankets, socks, and mat bags all make great gifts. The more personalized the better. So you're lady likes bold patterns? Get her a rockin' zebra print mat!
Faves: Happy Tree Yoga Mat Bags. Gaiam Yoga Socks.
All natural personal care products. Help your yogi feel good and smell good!
Faves: Happy Tree Body Butters, Scrubs, Soaps, and Sprays.
Yoga DVDs. DVDs can help a beginner feel more confident before trying a group class or can help expand the practice of a regular practitioner. It's important to choose a dvd that is at the level of practice for your loved one, so make sure to read the descriptions.
Faves: Tara Stiles' "This is Yoga", Rodney Yee's "Yoga for Beginners", Shiva Rea's "Daily Energy".
Subscriptions. People love getting things in the mail (or even in their inbox) and yogis are no different. There are so many great magazines, in both online and print versions, out there. Also something to consider would be subscription "boxes", where the recipient receives personalized goodies each month.
Faves: Natural Health Magazine, Vegetarian Times, Goodebox.
Classes at a local studio. The defining characteristic of every yogi is that they love to practice yoga, so give them the gift of more time on the mat. Most studios offer gift certificates for group classes, private sessions or monthly passes.
Faves: Obviously the classes at Clarity! Ha!
Aromatherapy. Essential oils, incense, and candles are all lovely and have a variety of uses. Your yogi will love the thought and care that went into picking out that special scent just for them.
Faves: Young Living Essential Oils.
Massage. Massage and yoga go hand in hand, so treat your favorite yogi to a great massage. I promise you they will love it.

I hope these ideas serve you in shopping for your loved ones! Happy holidays, sweet friends.
